2014 Known Issues

Upgrading

When installing a new Site Manager on a machine that already has the Site Manager set up you have to install the new Site Manager into a new folder. If you install the Site Manager into the same folder as before it will not run.

When upgrading from version LS Retail .NET 2011.x or earlier to this release:

Customers already using the Store Controller release 2011 or earlier please read the upgrade document for price and tax calculations which is shipped with the setup file.

Delayed start

When LS One POS is set to start up with Windows the application has to be set to "delayed start". This is done so that the SQL server is definitely up and running when the POS application starts.

The problems this can cause are that the POS can loose its license and language settings.

Demo Data issues

Default scale units

The new Demo Data is missing default scale units setup. To be able to sell an item that is marked as a scale item this has to be set up.

In the Site Manager - Ribbon go to Tools > Scale units and select the units that you use for the SI units grams, kilo grams, ounces and pounds.

Replication data

A couple of new action subjobs were created that are missing the replication action table. These subjobs are:

  • A-CUSTGROUPCATEGORY
  • A-CUSTINGROUP
  • A-DISCOUNTPARAMETERS
  • A-TAXFREECONFIG
  • A-TAXREFUND
  • A-TAXREFUNDRANGE
  • A-TAXREFUNDTRANSACTION

To fix this go to General setup > Replication > Subjobs. Find the subjobs that need to be fixed, open one at a time and select the REPLICATIONACTION table as the action table for all of them.

If you start typing "replication" in the filter field in the drop down box you will find this table easily in the list of all tables.
