Hosted Functionality

The biggest and most comprehensive new functionality in this release is the ability to have LS One in a hosted environment. In order to make LS One work this way various changes had to be made to existing components and also the installation of the POS had to be easier, faster and simpler.

Site service changes

• Site service can now create and update a database
• Site service can update passwords from the POS
• Site service can now connect to multiple databases i.e. when the Site Manager or POS send a request to the Site Service it is told which database it should get the data from.

• Site service can now insert data packs on request into a specific database.

Improvements and changes done for hosted functionality

• LS Start Once tested with LS One setup
• Data Director setup configures the scheduler at installation
• When creating a new terminal a copy from functionality was added for a quick creation of terminals
• Customer display text has default values if nothing is entered
  • First line: Welcome to
  • Second line: Store name
• When POS database is updated the table design for the scheduler is automatically updated
• Replication data is preset at database creation with a time schedule pre-defined
