Food stamp payments

Payments with food stamps (EBT, WIC etc used in the US) are now fully supported in LS One.

Tax exemption by payment type

A payment type can now be configured to automatically tax exempt all sales lines it is used to pay for.

The tax exemption is configured per limitation code. That means that it is even possible to have some items with tax and other items tax exempt when paying with the same payment type. When a payment limitation is configured to be tax exempt, all items that are included in the payment limitation will be exempt from tax when payed with that payment type.

Tax exemption of partial items

If the amount payed with food stamps is not enough for the entire sales price of an item, that item will be automatically split into two sales lines, where then one payed with food stamps is tax exempt. If the remaining part is payed with a non-tax exempt payment type, such as cash, then tax will be payed for that part of the item.

Information about total amount payable per payment type

It is now possible to configure the HTML information panel in the POS to show information about the total amount that can be payed with each payment type that is tax exempt, see further information in the online help.

When configured to show total payable amounts, the HTML information panel will also show how much can be refunded to each tax exempt payment type when returning a transaction.

Force refund to same payment type

LS One can be configured so that items payed with a tax exempt payment type are only allowed to refund to the same payment type when a transaction is returned. This is configured per store and payment type.
