Mobile inventory
In the LS One 2019.1 release, the LS Retail OMNI server has gone through significant changes to improve performance. The functionality of the mobile inventory app has also been reworked to make the inventory process more intuitive from the user's perspective. It is now possible to follow most of the inventory workflow from the app without waiting for actions to be performed in the back office.
Information about using the mobile inventory app with LS One can be found in our on-line help.

The LS One 2019 release does not include mobile POS functionality. This functionality will be added again in the 2020 release
Stock counting
You can now create a stock counting document directly in the inventory app. When several mobile devices are used to do a stock counting for the same store, all counted items are sent to the same stock counting journal in the back office if they are opened from the same stock counting template.
All you need to do in the back office is to create a stock counting template before starting the stock counting, and post the stock counting journal when all counting is done and has been sent from the mobile devices back to LS One.
The stock counting template can contain a filter which will automatically add items to the stock counting document when it is created in the app.

Purchasing
The entire purchasing workflow including receiving the goods can now be performed from the mobile inventory app.
In the back office is to create a purchase order template. Then you work with purchase worksheets in the app which are created from the purchase order template.
When the purchase worksheet is posted from the app, LS One automatically creates one purchase order per vendor in the back office.
Just as with stock counting, it is possible to add a filter to the purchase order template that will automatically populate new purchase worksheets with items from the filter.

Receiving purchased goods
Receiving goods in the mobile inventory app can now a easily be done as a part of the purchasing workflow without the need for any action in the back office.
This is achieved by a new setting on the purchase order template to automatically create one goods receiving document per purchase order when the purchase worksheet is posted from the app.

Store transfers
Transfer orders can now be created, sent and received from the mobile inventory app.

New or updated configurations
Inventory templates
The inventory template configurations have been simplified and most documents and worksheets in the Inventory app will have the same configurations so that the user has the same experience regardless of what kind of document or worksheet they are working on.
All Inventory app related settings (or OMNI settings) that are the same for all types of documents and worksheets are now on the same tab in the Inventory template card. Any settings that are specific for the document type will remain on their specific configuration tabs (for example Area settings for the Stock counting)
Use barcode unit of measure: If set then when scanning a barcode in the inventory app the app will use the unit set when the barcode is created otherwise the unit from the item will be used
Allow adding new lines: If set then the user is allowed to add new lines to the document in the inventory app. This would be set to false when f.ex. a stock counting template has a filter on it the user should be using for stock counting and no other items should be added to the document. If the user is allowed to add new lines the user is not asked to confirm adding the new line to the document in the application (this is a change in the inventory app behavior).
Quantity method setting and Default quantity were moved from document specific tabs and added to the "OMNI General tab" as they will be applicable to all document types in the inventory app when LS One 2019.1 will be released.
Functionality profile
A new configuration called Allow image import was added to the OMNI tab on the functionality profile. The inventory app has a new functionality where the user can take a picture of the item that is being worked with in the inventory app. If this setting is set to true then the app will allow the images otherwise it will not. The images will be saved to the Image bank that already exists in the LS One system. A new type of Inventory images has been created so the user can search for these images.
Image bank
A new type was created to mark the Inventory images that have been added to the Image bank. This type has been added to the search filter and when an inventory image is deleted from the item bank the user is notified that it is connected to an existing stock counting journal (for example) and if the user decides on deleting the image anyway the connection between the document and the image is also deleted.
