Release notes LS One 2021.1

LS One 2021.1 is here! Here are the highlights of our release:

LS Update Service

The LS Update Service is a solution to simplify the process of installing LS Retail’s products in stores and restaurants and keeping them up to date. A deployment manager can define one or more setups with different software components required for installation. The setup is then easily accessible through an installation tool that will install all the components selected for the setup including an update service that checks on a regular interval if a new version is available and updates the software. New versions of the components are then easily deploy-able from a central location.

With the LS Retail Update Service, you can deploy an install or update your LS One customizations. Install and update LS One applications, create databases and automatically insert your custom data packages.

Translation tool

We reintroduce the possibility of translating LS One into any language and now easier than ever. Translations can now be done online from were we in the LS One team can upload it to the applications and release in the next service packs. The online translation tool is called Weblate, which allows our partners to translate LS One and us to make your translations available in next release or service pack of LS One.

Customer account deposit to selected invoices

We introduce the possiblity of paying for selected customer invoices at the LS One POS. In previous versions of LS One when customer deposits were made into a customer account the payment was settled against the oldest open invoice or invoices. Now you can see a list of all open invoices the selected customer has and you can select which invoices to pay for or do deposits against.

Added payment types for SAP Business One

In this version we have added some more payment options in LS One running in connection to SAP Business One.

Gift cards issued in LS One are now listed to an G/L account in SAP Business One. Gift cards can then also be used as payments and are being accounted for on the financial side in SAP Business One.

Transactions can be finalized by invoicing the transaction to the registered customer acocunt. The customer can also pay for open invoices at the LS One POS.

General improvements

We have added new functionality and done some bug fixing and improvements.

SAP Business One integration

Gift cards can now be issued on the LS One POS and used as payment in an LS One connected environment. Customer account invoices and invoice payments can be managed from the POS.
